About us and La Maison Verte…
After over 10 years in France, in 2019 we finally realised our dream of buying an old dilapidated property ripe for renovation. Over the last 2 years we have created a home for ourselves and a very comfortable and pretty B&B for our guests. Running our previous B&B for 6 years gave us a lot of experience and ideas of how to improve the B&B and offer a great place to stay. Creating this place from scratch gave us a chance to make something that we hope you will find as special as we do.
We decided to re-locate to the Dordogne after discovering just how beautiful this area is. With its rolling countryside and far-reaching views, it is just stunning. With so many beautiful old towns and chateaux, famous vineyards and culture in abundance we are confident our guests will find many things to pique their interest.
We searched for a bustling and interesting town to be near and Riberac has proved ideal. This small town is full of life not only in the summer but also during the winter. With it’s weekly Friday market, producers markets, live music evenings during the summer and a great selection of restaurants which stay open all year around we feel we chose a great town both for us and our guests.
Food and drink…
In the mornings we offer a continental breakfast with warm breads, fresh fruit, eggs, yoghurt and cereals and juices and of course great coffee! Most days there is also some home baked cake offering.
Sunday to Thursday we offer evening meals at La Maison Verte to our guests. After a day of sight seeing, we appreciate that many guests want nothing more than coming back and being able to relax for the evening so why not take us up on our 3-course evening meal here at La Maison Verte which can be enjoyed in the beautiful garden or in our cosy candle lit dining room.
If you would like to spend your day just in our garden relaxing with a good book then we can also provide light lunches and a selection of drinks are available to purchase at any time.
All meals need to be booked a day in advance.
Our rooms…
La Maison Verte offers 2 spacious double rooms (30sqm and 22sqm). Both rooms have their own en-suite shower rooms with towel heaters, free toiletries and lovely towels. Both rooms offer very comfortable king size beds with sumptuous bedding and air-conditioning which is controlled by the guests themselves. There is tea and coffee facilities in both rooms. Free WIFI is available in the whole B&B.
We have a very comfortable guest lounge to relax in with a wood burner for wintertime. There is a TV and dvd player and an extensive DVD library and of course also lots of books that we are more than happy for guests to borrow. If weather does not permit eating outside then our dining room is very cosy and comfortable and overlooking the fire place. Here is also where we serve breakfast in the winter months.
Our aim is to offer a super ambience and highest comfort in all seasons and weather. Cool, air-conditioned rooms in the summer and warm snug rooms in the winter.
