About us…
After over 15 years in France, in 2024 we finally found what we consider to be our forever home here in the Lot-et-Garonne, close to the bastide town of Monflanquin. Over the last 2 years we have created a home for ourselves and a very comfortable and pretty gite for our guests. Gite La Maison Verte is the product of our 10 years of experience in offering holiday accomodation. These years have tought us that we need to offer so much more to our guests than just accomodation. It’s about the experience more than anything, the importance of offering a memorable stay, with all the important ingredients, comfort, cosiness, cleanliness but maybe most of all the human angle, to be made to feel absolutely welcome and well looked after.
The gite…
Gite La Maison Verte offers 2 bedrooms. A calm and spacious double bedroom with a king size bed. The second bedroom has built in bunk beds. These bunk beds have been built with adults in mind as much as children. They are 200cm long by 90cm wide so extremely comfortable for adults. Both rooms offer very comfortable mattresses and sumptuous bedding. The 2 bedrooms share a Jack & Jill style, large sumptuous bathroom which is attached to the double bedroom. It has a large italian style walk in shower, large bath tub, hand basin and toilet as well as a heated towel rail. There is a second separate toilet with hand basin located in the bunk bedroom so everyone has privacy at night. The gite offers a lovely, fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher and everything you find in a fully functioning kitchen. We know that for many, holiday offers a chance to have time for relaxed cooking so we felt it was important to offer a kitchen where you can do this. You can enjoy a spacious and bright open living/dining area with comfortable furniture and a flat screen smart TV for connected viewing. The gite is fully air conditioned for the hot summer months and heated in the winter, all of which is controlled by the guests themselves. There is also a wood burner for cosy winter stays. There are fly nets on all windows and doors. There is free WIFI and and there is a “Green-up” charging point for electric vehicules located in the guest parking area just outside the gite. Charging is included in the weekly rental.
The outside space…
Step out from the gite onto a covered and decked veranda with dining furniture and BBQ equipment as well as comfortable loungers and rocking chairs. Here you can sit during long summers evening overlooking the glittering pool and the panoramic view beyond. The veranda links to the pool area by a decked walkway so no need for shoes!
The pool is 5m x 11m with a decked sun terrasse with sunbeds and umbrellas right next to it, again overlooking the stunning, panoramic view. This whole area is security fenced.
The large garden is fully and securely fenced should you wish to bring your dog on your holiday. Dogs are very welcome and they have the run of the garden!
